Meet Peanut...

Born April 17th, 2022.       12 pounds

Pictures and Video to come!

Peanut is our mini red poodle stud that fathered   three litters.

We are retiring him.  He is not neutered  (still intact).

Peanut is a strong athletic poodle.  He is strong willed and confident, playful and smart.    He craves affection and companionship and will create a n almost addictive type attachment to his care giver.  His main human in our family is my daughter Maria  who has helped raise him since he was 8 weeks old.  He sleeps with her and basically follows her around and wants to be where she is.  It's in a small poodle's nature to become quite attached  to one family member.  His favorite activity by far is fetch.  When racing for the ball he out does all of our dogs....always getting to the ball first, even  when starting from behind the  others!

Often poodles are very   loyal companion dogs by nature and thrive with their owner one on one.    Even in a family, poodles seem to pick their human and bond with that person deeply.    Peanut doesn't like being in a large family especially with many other dogs in a breeding or "pack" setting.     He is contented by himself and with his owner and in our family that is my daughter.    If he had HIS way, life would be much more simple and he would get all the attention all day long!   He doesn't  handle the stress of living with another intact male and often competing in the house when our females are in heat.    It's not fair to him and   we want what's best for both him and our breeding dogs.    For these reasons we are retiring him.     He craves one on one affection and attention and much more  than we can give him.   He has a sweet but also a bit timid temperament at times and will benefit greatly from a more active life style, more outdoor activity, and  interactive learning!   Poodles thrive in a learning environment of regular activities and training sessions.  So ideally we are looking for a family who desires to spend a lot of  time with him, especially outdoors!
